Kitchen Colours - Handleless Cream Kitchens Image

Cream kitchens

At the Brighton Kitchen Company our ethos is all about creating stunning bespoke kitchens that stand the test of time. There’s an art to choosing a kitchen style that stands the test of time, and it’s what our talented design team are incredibly good at. We understand that it’s not just style that matters when it comes to creating a timeless kitchen. Colour is equally important, and can make or break the overall look of your interior.

Cream is a really popular colour for the kitchen and it’s a colour we love to work with. It’s a shade that works in both contemporary and traditional kitchen styles, and is the perfect backdrop for accent colours or works beautifully alongside simple white. The colour cream is incredibly versatile in the kitchen and lends a real sense of elegance to the kind of uncompromising kitchen designs we love to create.

So why choose cream and not white? Cream is an incredibly calming neutral and it is a fantastic colour for creating a warm and friendly ambience. It has a softer feel to it than white. We think it really sets the mood for socialising and communicating. Don’t get us wrong, we love a super bright white kitchen, but we have to say there’s something about the colour cream that brings a real homely feel to any kitchen space we design. It’s a subtle, warm, and inviting colour, and just as with white, it makes the most of natural light.

Our handleless, cream gloss kitchen designs have a modern, streamlined feel without the glare of bright white. Cream most definitely gives our contemporary kitchen designs a sophisticated air. It’s subtle and is the perfect colour choice for those seeking understated refinement.

Our traditional painted kitchens look fabulous in any one of Farrow & Ball’s neutral paint colours. We love White Tie, Matchstick, String and New White. All are a warmer alternative to white and have reassuringly delicate cream undertones; just perfect for creating a relaxed and harmonious living space.

“The team managed to combine contemporary with traditional and certainly had a sixth sense as to what I was looking for. Pete and his team were wonderful too – everyone friendly and courteous and always cleaned up at the end of the day. It’s been a pleasure and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to others.”

Cream blends seamlessly with limestone flooring, and is a perfect colour match for wood, whether that be solid oak cabinetry, wooden worktops, beams or furniture. We simply love that this colour has an all-embracing capacity for bringing a kitchen space together. Cream also complements a whole spectrum of other colours, meaning updating your kitchen in the future is easy by changing surrounding décor and accessories.

We love to combine classic and modern design with neutral colour combinations. We are passionate about making kitchens that quite simply take your breath away, and we have to say that cream does that in a quite glorious and unexpected way.
