Grey kitchens

It’s not hard to see why grey is such a popular colour in home interiors. Grey is one of those easy, calming neutrals that has it all. Grey is a fabulous colour to fashion in kitchen design. The range of hues and depth of colours in the grey palette is vast. Light subtle greys can be used alongside other neutrals to create a calming and elegant space, while deep grey hues can add a real sense of glamour. There really is a grey to suit every kitchen.

Softer palettes of white and pale greys help to bounce light around the room and give real breadth to kitchen spaces. Serene, minimal aesthetic and clutter-free kitchens in subdued colour schemes can be made warmer with wood grain in countertops or kitchen chairs, or by the colourful accents of carefully picked homewares. Farrow & Ball’s wonderful Elephant’s Breath paint colour is perfect for warming up a kitchen space and softening the cool edge of stark white.

This combination adds striking character to kitchen design, and is bang on trend. But, as you know, we’re not here to follow trends. We’ll always help you to dream up a kitchen colour scheme that is effortlessly inspiring and ensures your kitchen really stands out.

“The team managed to combine contemporary with traditional and certainly had a sixth sense as to what I was looking for. Pete and his team were wonderful too – everyone friendly and courteous and always cleaned up at the end of the day. It’s been a pleasure and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to others.”

Avril Taylor, Hove

Whatever kitchen style you prefer, grey works equally well in most kitchen designs. Contemporary kitchens lend themselves particularly well to grey. It just has that fresh, modern appeal. And in darker tones it offers interest without the harsh drama of black.

In traditional kitchen designs, grey brings an air of understated elegance to the design and can lift cabinetry to steal the show. Our classic shaker kitchens carry refinement all the way through, from their carefully crafted dovetail joints to the paint finish. If you want a timeless paint colour that is easy to live with, grey is the colour you are looking for.
